Oh! Right!

On the 9th of this month, it will finally be one year that I've kept up a blog or anything of the sort. Considering the frequency of past attempts, I consider this quite the feat. Modest kudos to me and what this means for my 'development.'

It's 2010!

Made Fall 2008 (May have mentioned woven pockets from Beginning textiles class, this is one.)

Leather (seen in middle photo), linen, jute, sisal, Found skeleton key on front side of pochette, hemp cord as neckband, tag is copper stamped "BOHANNON HANDWOVEN" (this one paid my parking ticket)

The Following were made Summer 2009

Found key, really nice woven upholstery fabric sewn between muslin, linen cord, copper wire (un-waxed, should patinate to a color similar to that of the key and also the green in the upholstery fabric)

Hand-dyed yellow wool yarn with white plastic button for neck-cording, un-dyed muslin lined with orange material of unknown composition, yellow and orange lace, orange beads and embroidery threads, snaps for closure (mind you this was a fun experiment and not fit for sale! yucky stitches!)

Sanded rebar wire, linen, two rocks and two pieces of wood, the snap at the bottom is wired onto wood :) Pendant is happily suspended from a bunch of "vintage" yellow cotton thread

Knotted muslin, linen cord, shell, found pendant (brass?)

Found metals, lace, muslin (from the quilted concentric circles), linen cord, embroidery thread
